What are the requirements to get an AutoNation Mobility car?
To be eligible for an AutoNation Mobility car, you must:
- Live in an area that AutoNation Mobility supports (currently Southern California or South Florida)
- Be 21 years or older
- Have a permanent, unexpired U.S. driver’s license (see details below)
- Get prequalified through a soft credit pull to see your maximum monthly payment (this does not impact your credit score)
- Select a vehicle, apply for the AutoNation Mobility program and consent to a hard credit check, which we’ll run as you’re setting up your micro lease
Can I use a temporary driver’s license?
No. You must have a valid, permanent and verifiable driver’s license that matches the name and identity of your account, issued in the United States or United States territory. Learner’s permits, temporary paper licenses, state identification cards or foreign/international driver’s licenses will not be accepted.
Do you run a credit check?
Yes. A soft credit check is run to determine eligibility and provide you with the maximum monthly payment that you’d be approved for with an AutoNation Mobility micro lease, so that you can shop more confidently. The soft credit check does not affect your credit score; however, it may appear on your credit report.
Once you are ready to complete your order, a hard credit check is required. This will appear on your credit report and may impact your credit score.
What if I applied a credit freeze or credit lock with Experian?
To qualify you for an AutoNation Mobility micro lease, we require everyone to go through a soft credit check, which does not impact your credit score. If you placed a credit freeze or credit lock on your Experian credit report, we will not be able to obtain the credit information necessary to qualify you.
Please lift your credit freeze or credit lock before you start the prequalification process. The same applies for the hard credit check process required prior to finalizing your micro lease during checkout.
For more information about lifting a credit freeze or credit lock, or if you have already attempted to qualify and received a credit freeze or credit lock error, please visit our Credit Freeze & Credit Lock article.
I did not qualify for the AutoNation Mobility program. What should I do?
If you did not qualify for a micro lease with AutoNation Mobility, details of the decision will be sent to you at the email address associated with your account. You will be able to reapply for AutoNation Mobility in 30 days, however we cannot guarantee your eligibility at that time.
If you would like to see alternative financing or leasing options, please visit the www.autonation.com website.
If you feel that there is an error on your credit report, please review the communication for available options.
Can I have someone co-sign for me?
No. AutoNation Mobility does not allow for co-signers at this time.
I don’t live in a state that AutoNation Mobility supports. Can I get a car and bring it back to my home state?
No. AutoNation Mobility cars are registered and titled in the state that matches the AutoNation store that offers the car. You are not permitted to relocate and re-register a car out of state at this time.
